The General District Court Clerk's Office staff is available to answer general questions and to assist you as you do business with the Court. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. with telephone operatiors on duty from 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The mailing address is Virginia Beach General District Court, 2425 Nimmo Parkway, Virginia Beach, VA 23456-9057.
However, they cannot give you legal advice. Furthermore, they are not responsible for the content of documents submitted to the Court or for ensuring that the parties comply with the filing requirements.

Confidentiality
E-mail correspondence with the Courts' staff will be considered public information. Such communications are neither confidential nor protected by any privilege. E-mail messages should not include information that you do not want disclosed to others. David O'Dell who serves as the Clerk of Court is also designated as the FOIA officer. All inquiries dealing with FOIA should be made to 757-385-8531.

**Please note Virginia Beach General District Courts will be closed Tuesday, August 4th, 2020 in preparation for Hurrican Isaias.
